Lawrence Vaults to First at Harvard Open

Brad at Harvard Open

At a very busy Gordon Indoor Track and Field Center at Harvard University, Casey Teska and Brad Lawrence were Patriot Pole Vault Club’s top finishers at the annual Harvard Open. Brad Lawrence, a recent Penn State alum and coach with American International College, placed 1st on misses at 4.70 (15′ 5″). Other competitors in the men’s open division included Westford Academy senior Brendan Sullivan, jumping 4.25m for 6th place, and Master’s vaulter Jim Tylock with some solid vaults getting over 3.80m for 16th place.

On the women’s side, Nashoba senior Casey Teska placed 3rd with a vault of 3.50m (11’5.8″), Jaci Briggs 6th at 3.35m, and Lindsay Folsom, vaulting under Augusta, in 7th place at 3.35m and Morgan Hart 16th at 2.75m.

Upcoming meets are the Dartmouth Relays on January 6-8, followed by Tufts Invitational on January 14th.

    Final Bar was actually 4.70 (15′ 5″)… The results were recorded wrong… but that’s neither here nor there.
