Teska & Tylock Top PPVC Vaulters at Jay Carisella Invitational

This past weekend was the indoor track seasonal opener with meets all across the New England area. For most Patriot Pole Vault Club athletes, the closest meet was the Northeastern’s Jay Carisella Invitational held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, MA.
On the women’s side, current Patriot Pole Vault Club vaulter Casey Teska finished 4th with a vault of 10′ 11.9″ (3.35m). Jillena Decarteret (pictured at right), who now competes for Northeastern, finished 2nd overall making her first attempt at some higher heights after coming back from a shoulder injury. Lindsey Folsom made the trip from Maine earning a height of 3.05m, transitioning between poles.
On the men’s side, Master’s PPVC vaulter Jim Tylock finished 8th overall with a height of 12′ 11′ (3.95m). Other PPVC current and past competitors include: Brad Lawrence, Brian Daly, Ryan Perkins, Glen Ruggerio, and Kirby Cole.
The next open meet is this Saturday at Harvard University. Register before noon on December 8th on DirectAthletics.
